1 Simple marking out in line with straightforward blue print
2 Filing/ hack sawing and break
3 Heat treating operations like hardening, tempering and tempering.
4 Rivet lap and butt joint/
5 Butt and fillet welds – Gas & Arc.
6 Gas cutting.
7 Chucking, centering, plain turning, taper turning, boring and thread cutting.
8 Precision marking, work contours and geometrical figures and create male and feminine components.
9 Drill holes, counter bore and spot face.
10 Use height and depth gage, micrometer associate degreed vernier calipers to an accuracy of 1/1000/100 millimetre.
11 Markup, punching, cutting, break associate degreed file jobs as per blue prints and able to end an accuracy of zero.003’/ 0.08 mm.
12 Operate a bench drill and to drill ream holes.
13 Fit fixing, studs, bolts and dovetailed sides etc.
14 Use of sin bat and slip gauges, examine angles.
15 Remetal, scrap and assemble bearings.
16 Make straightforward jigs & fixtures.
17 Dismantle & assemble mechanical device components and accessories.
18 Repair broken gear tooth.

Draftsman Mechanical trade

Minimum Qualification 10th Pass with science & Math.
Apprenticeship Training 3 Years including 2 year basic Training
Skills Acquired
1 Prepare working drawing of machine parts and components independently taking sketches from the shop floor.
2 Prepare a complete project drawing independently.
3 Reproduce the drawing by making tracing and taking prints.
4 Record and preserve the drawing prepared in the section.
5 Make simple design of Machine parts and simple jigs and fixtures.
6 Calculate the weight and cost of simple machine components.
7 Follow the different processes involved in course of manufacturing different mechanical components.
8 Follow the latest Indian standard specification related to trade.
9 Basic concept of computer
10 Draw drawing by using CAD.

Draftsman Civil trade

1 Planning, drawing, estimating, and costing of civil work
2 Drawing plans by using Auto CAD
3 Making of 3D models of civil work
4 Giving lineout at site, supervision of civil work etc
Employment Option
1 Draftsman
2 Surveyor and Land Surveyor shall be available in Central & State Government Departments.
3 Ammonia Printer in Railways, C.P.W.D. Military, TCP, P.D.A., P.W.D., HUDA, Housing Board, Land Survey.
4 Private sector opportunities shall be as Draftsman, Construction Supervisor with Architect, Civil Engineer, and Civil Contractor, Builders.

Tool & Die maker trade

Skills Acquired
Machinists train in apprenticeship programs, vocational schools, community and technical colleges, or informally on the job. To become a fully trained tool and die maker takes a combination of several years of technical instruction and on-the-job training. A high school diploma is necessary.
